The cost of a golf simulator installation in Texas comes down to five things: the launch monitor tier, the enclosure and screen, the projector, the computer and software, and how much room preparation your space needs. A portable launch monitor with a basic enclosure sits at one end. A ceiling-mounted three-camera system inside a custom-built room with a 4K projector sits at the other. Everything in between is a matter of which of those five levers you pull, and how far.

This guide walks through each lever using our Masters, Players and Champions packages as reference points, so you can see where the money goes before you request a quote. If you want the published investment ranges for each tier, our earlier post on how much a custom home golf simulator costs lays them out. Here we focus on why one build costs more than another.
Why Installation Is Priced as a Complete Build
A retail launch monitor is a product. An installation is a system that also includes the room assessment, design, enclosure construction, projector alignment, wiring, calibration, software setup and training. When you compare quotes, compare the full scope. A low number that leaves out calibration or the enclosure is not a lower price, it is a smaller job.
Our golf simulator installation and consultation page describes the six phases every 19th Hole build includes. The consultation is free, and the quote that follows is for the whole project.
Cost Driver 1: The Launch Monitor Tier
The launch monitor is the single biggest line item and the one that shapes everything else.
Masters tier: portable units
The Masters package uses a portable unit such as the Uneekor EYE Mini or FlightScope Mevo+. FlightScope’s Mevo+ uses radar and camera Fusion Tracking and reports more than 20 full swing and short game data parameters, with 13 feet of ball flight recommended indoors (FlightScope Mevo+). Garmin’s Approach R10 is another entry point that tracks a dozen-plus golf metrics (Garmin Approach R10). Portable units cost less and can travel, but they sit on the floor behind or beside the ball and are more sensitive to placement.
Players tier: overhead camera systems
The Players package steps up to the Uneekor EYE XO, a ceiling-mounted dual-camera system. Overhead mounting means nothing on the floor, less depth needed behind the golfer, and a fixed, calibrated position that reads the same every session. This is the most common residential build in Texas because it fits garages and game rooms that a radar unit would not.
Champions tier: three-camera and tour-standard systems
The Champions package uses the Uneekor EYE XO2, which adds a third high-speed infrared camera, reads a 28-inch by 21-inch hitting zone and captures 24 ball and club parameters without marked balls (Uneekor EYE XO2). TrackMan iO and TrackMan 4 sit at a similar or higher tier and bring radar-based, tour-standard tracking. These systems cost more, and they also demand more from the projector, computer and room.
Cost Driver 2: Enclosure and Screen
The Masters package includes a basic enclosure. Players adds a retractable screen with a custom-built surround. Champions uses a fully custom enclosure built to the room. Screen size, whether the enclosure is framed and finished as part of the room, and whether you want a retractable screen so the space doubles as a media room all move the number. As an authorized Carl’s Place dealer, we source enclosures and screens directly.
Cost Driver 3: The Projector
Projector cost tracks brightness and resolution. Our Masters build uses a 4,500-lumen projector at 1024 by 768. Players moves to 5,200 ISO lumens at 1280 by 800. Champions uses a 4K projector with pixel shifting. For reference, TrackMan’s published simulator specifications call for a projector with more than 5,000 lumens (TrackMan tech specs). A brighter, sharper projector matters most in rooms with ambient light and for golfers who want the course to look real.
Cost Driver 4: Computer and Software
Each package ships with a computer matched to its projector, from minimum-spec in Masters to 4K-spec in Champions. TrackMan’s Virtual Golf, for example, lists Windows 11, 32 GB of RAM, an Intel i7 processor and an RTX 4080 graphics card for 4K, which shows why the computer is not a place to economize on a high-end build.
Software is the other piece. TruGolf E6 Connect includes 28 courses on the standard license, with basic and expanded subscriptions that open more of the library (TruGolf E6 Connect). Uneekor and TrackMan run their own suites. Some software is a one-time license, some is a subscription, and your quote spells out which.
Cost Driver 5: Room Preparation
This is the lever that varies most from one Texas home to the next. A finished garage bay with a 10-foot ceiling and a dedicated circuit needs little beyond flooring and lighting. A room that needs a mini-split for climate control, new recessed lighting on a dimmer, a raised ceiling or electrical work costs more. Flooring itself scales too: Masters uses a 7-by-4-foot portable hitting pad, while Players and Champions get built-to-size turf with putting holes.
Adding TourPutt for augmented reality putting is the most common optional upgrade.

What Affects Cost Across Texas
We install from our Garland showroom across Dallas,Fort Worth, Austin, Round Rock, Houston and San Antonio. The package pricing does not change by city, but the room does. Houston builds almost always include climate control because of humidity. Older homes inside Dallas and San Antonio loops more often need ceiling or lighting work. Newer suburban homes in Frisco, Round Rock and Katy usually have the garage depth and ceiling height to keep prep minimal.
Financing the Installation
We offer Hearth financing with monthly payment options and a 60-second pre-qualification, which lets many clients move from the Masters tier to Players or Champions without waiting. For a broader view of the investment, our comparison of a home simulator versus a DFW country club membership puts a one-time build next to recurring dues.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the biggest factor in golf simulator installation cost?
The launch monitor tier. It sets the baseline and determines what projector, computer and room the system needs.
Does a bigger room cost more to install?
Usually the opposite. A room with enough depth and ceiling height needs less preparation. Tight rooms cost more because they need ceiling-mounted equipment, compact enclosures and sometimes structural or electrical work.
Is the consultation included in the cost?
The in-person consultation and quote are free. Installation pricing covers design, build, calibration, software setup and training.
Can I start with a Masters package and upgrade later?
Yes. We design with upgrade paths in mind so a launch monitor or projector can be swapped without rebuilding the enclosure.
Do commercial installations cost more?
Commercial builds use commercial-grade components and plan for throughput, seating and AV integration, so scope is larger and timelines run one to two weeks. Each is quoted individually.
How long does installation take?
Most residential installations take four to seven days depending on room scope and configuration complexity.
