Golf Simulator Installation and Consultation in DFW and Texas

What Is a Professional Golf Simulator Installation?

A professional golf simulator installation is a complete, turnkey build. It starts with measuring your room and ends with a calibrated system you can walk up to and play. It covers the launch monitor, impact screen and enclosure, projector, computer and software, turf and hitting mat, lighting, and the wiring that ties it all together.

That is different from buying a launch monitor online and figuring out the rest. A retail purchase gives you a box. An installation gives you a room that works: the projector throws a clean image with no shadow, the launch monitor reads every shot, the enclosure fits the ceiling, and the software is configured for the golfers who will use it.

Skipping the design step is where most DIY builds go wrong. A launch monitor that needs 18 feet of depth in a 15-foot room, a projector that casts your shadow on the screen, or a ceiling that clips a driver swing all cost more to fix after the fact than to plan for up front.

Our Golf Simulator Installation Services

In-Person Consultation and Room Assessment

Every project begins with a visit to your home or business. We measure ceiling height at the impact position, room width and depth, and check existing electrical capacity, lighting, flooring, window placement, HVAC and structural elements. If you are searching for a golf simulator consultation near you, this is the step that turns a rough idea into a build plan with a firm scope.

Custom System Design

Based on your room and your goals, we specify the launch monitor, enclosure size, projector, computer and software. Our Masters, Players and Champions packages are the starting points, and every one of them can be tailored to the space. Golfers who want to improve get a data-first build. Families who want entertainment get a setup that shines on game night. Most clients want both.

Home Golf Simulator Installation

Residential installations are the heart of what we do. Garages, bonus rooms, basements, pool houses and purpose-built golf rooms all work when they are designed correctly. Our DFW garage conversion guide walks through the most common starting point, and our golf room versus game room guide covers the layout choices that come next.

Commercial Golf Simulator Installation

Country clubs, offices, restaurants, multifamily amenity spaces and entertainment venues have different needs: commercial-grade components built for high volume, player flow, seating, AV integration and session reporting. We plan for throughput from day one. Read more in our guide to commercial golf simulator installations in DFW.

Launch Monitor Installation and Calibration

We install and calibrate overhead camera systems (Uneekor EYE XO and EYE XO2), radar and camera systems (TrackMan 4, TrackMan iO, FlightScope) and portable units (Garmin Approach R10, FlightScope Mevo+). Each has its own mounting height, hitting zone and depth requirements, and calibration is what makes the numbers on the screen match the shot you just hit.

Screens, Enclosures and Projectors

We build custom enclosures sized to your room, install impact screens and retractable screens, and mount and align the projector so the image fills the screen without your shadow in the frame. Projector brightness and resolution scale with the package, from 4,500-lumen units to 4K-class projectors in the Champions build.

Software Setup and Training

TruGolf E6 Connect, Uneekor software and TrackMan Virtual Golf are configured for your golfers, courses and practice modes before we leave. We then walk you through starting a session, switching modes and using the data so the system gets used, not just admired.

TourPutt Putting Add-On

For golfers who want a full short game at home, we install TourPutt, an augmented reality putting system that projects breaking greens onto a real putting surface.

Signs You Should Hire an Installer Instead of Going DIY

• You are not sure whether your ceiling is tall enough for a full driver swing.

• Your room is under 18 feet deep and you are looking at a radar-based launch monitor.

• You want a permanent enclosure, built-in lighting or a finished golf room, not a pop-up net.

• You have priced components separately and are unsure whether they work together.

• You want one call to make if something needs adjustment after the build.

• The system is going into a club, office or venue where downtime costs money.

Room Requirements for a Golf Simulator

The right room depends on the launch monitor you choose. A few published manufacturer guidelines give you a starting point before we measure in person.

• Ceiling height: TrackMan lists 10 feet or more for both TrackMan 4 and TrackMan iO (TrackMan room guide). Carl’s Place advises that 8 to 9 feet can work with limitations, with 10 feet or more recommended (Carl’s Place measuring guide).

• Width: TrackMan recommends 15 feet or more. Carl’s Place lists 10 feet as a minimum.

• Depth: TrackMan 4 needs 18 feet or more from screen to unit because the radar sits behind the golfer. TrackMan iO, which is ceiling mounted, needs 10 feet or more from screen to ball. Carl’s Place lists 15 feet of total room depth as a minimum.

• Overhead camera systems: Uneekor’s EYE XO2 is ceiling mounted in front of the golfer at an optimal height of 10 feet and reads a 28-inch by 21-inch hitting zone (Uneekor EYE XO2).

The simplest test, as Carl’s Place suggests, is to take your driver into the room and make a few full swings. If you can swing freely without changing your motion, the ceiling is likely workable. We confirm the rest during the consultation.

Why Professional Installation Pays Off

A simulator is a system, not a product. The launch monitor, projector, screen and computer all have to agree with each other and with the room. When one is wrong, the whole experience suffers: shots are misread, the image is dim, or the enclosure blocks the swing.

Professional installation also protects the investment over time. Our post on whether your simulator will still perform in 10 years explains why upgrade paths, cable management and component selection matter long after the build is done.

Our Installation Process

1. In-person room consultation. We measure, photograph and assess your space and talk through how you will use the system.

2. Equipment selection and system design. You receive a design and a quote built around a package, adjusted for your room.

3. Physical installation. Our in-house crew builds the enclosure, installs the screen, mounts the projector and launch monitor, and runs the wiring.

4. Calibration and testing. We calibrate the launch monitor and hit test shots until the data is right.

5. Software configuration. Courses, practice modes and player profiles are set up for your household or venue.

6. Training and walkthrough. You learn to run the system before we leave.

Most residential installations take four to seven days depending on room scope and configuration complexity. Most commercial builds take one to two weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does golf simulator installation take?

Most residential installations take four to seven days depending on room scope and configuration complexity. Commercial builds typically take one to two weeks. Your design and quote come first, so you know the schedule before work begins.

Do you offer a golf simulator consultation before I buy?

Yes. Every project starts with an in-person room consultation where we measure the space, check electrical and lighting, and discuss how you plan to use the system. You receive a free quote based on that visit.

What ceiling height do I need for a golf simulator?

Ten feet or more is the safe target. TrackMan lists 10 feet or more for its systems, and Carl’s Place notes 8 to 9 feet can work with limitations. The real test is whether you can swing your driver freely in the room.

Can you install a golf simulator in a garage?

Yes. Garages are one of the most common residential locations because they usually have the depth a simulator needs. Climate control, lighting and flooring are the main upgrades to plan for.

Which launch monitor is best for a home installation?

It depends on the room and the golfer. Overhead camera systems like Uneekor work well in rooms with limited depth. Radar-based TrackMan 4 needs more room behind the golfer but delivers tour-level data. Our TrackMan vs Uneekor vs FlightScope comparison goes deeper.

Do you install commercial golf simulators?

Yes. We design and install systems for country clubs, offices, restaurants, multifamily amenity spaces and venues, with commercial-grade components and planning for player throughput.

Who does the installation work?

Our own in-house team. We do not subcontract, so the person who designs your room installs and calibrates it.

What does a golf simulator installation cost?

The total depends on the launch monitor tier, enclosure size, projector, software and any room preparation. Our post on what drives golf simulator installation cost in Texas explains each factor, and your quote follows the in-person consultation.

Is financing available for golf simulator installation?

Yes. We offer Hearth financing with monthly payment options and a 60-second pre-qualification.

Do you install golf simulators outside of Dallas-Fort Worth?

Yes. We install in Austin, Round Rock, Houston, San Antonio and other Texas markets, as well as select markets in Nebraska, Florida and Colorado.
